Introducing Tatler Dining Kitchen at Haus, a new F&B concept set to take Hong Kong by storm

25 February 2020 – In another first, Tatler Dining, Hong Kong’s leading platform for passionate food explorers, has officially unveiled its latest concept, Tatler Dining Kitchen at Haus.

Haus is a unique collaboration between Tatler Dining, Mercedes Benz and IWC Schaffhausen, to highlight shared values of quality, innovation and craftsmanship. Located in the heart of Central, it will be the home for food lovers to discover off menu dining, exclusive collaborations and unique dining experiences.

Each month, Tatler Dining Kitchen will curate a dynamic programme of chef collaborations, restaurant and bar pop-ups, culinary workshops and tasting sessions that capture the zeitgeist of dining in Hong Kong.

Kickstarting the first of many culinary collaborations is a three-month partnership with JIA Group, the Hong Kong-based hospitality firm founded by Yenn Wong, to present an exclusive café pop-up by Between, and a series of experimental tasting menus with Italian chef Antimo Maria Merone.

Soft opened from 8 February 2021, the Between pop-up on the ground floor of Haus will present new dishes available exclusively at this location, curated by chef Agustin Balbi of Ando and overseen by head chef Ken Tse. The pop-up is the Japanese-style cafe’s second location following the success of the original venue in Tai Kwun’s JC Contemporary, making Between’s signature food and drink even more accessible to discerning diners in Central, with dine-in breakfast and takeaway coffees starting from 8:00 am Monday through Saturday.

On the second floor is a fine dining experience with award-winning Italian chef Antimo Maria Merone, his first solo venture since departing the Michelin-starred 8 1/2 Otto E Mezzo Bombana Macau, where he was executive chef from 2014 to 2020. Merone will be unveiling different menus each month, each underscored by his southern Italian roots and enhanced with contrasting culinary traditions. Reservations are now open for bookings starting in March.

“I’m excited for this collaboration with JIA Group and Tatler Dining at Haus,” says Merone. “The new Tatler Dining Kitchen space will allow me to showcase some new and never-before-seen dishes, and experiment with new ingredients and techniques that are not usually part of my culinary repertoire. The concept will drive us to create something that will not be repeated—a unique experience performed at Haus.”

“Tatler Dining Kitchen is a continuation of our commitment to curating culture through food and championing the city’s culinary talents, creating a new dining culture that encourages collaborative experimentation and innovation within the F&B industry,” says Charmaine Mok, Content Director for Tatler Dining Hong Kong. Mok continues, “We are delighted to partner with IWC Schaffhausen and Mercedes-Benz for Haus, a true world first where three iconic legacy brands collaborate to deliver a unique customer experience.”

Tatler Dining Kitchen is the latest in a long line up of boundary-pushing initiatives including the Off Menu festivals, The Hong Kong Cocktail, and United We Dine.
