Generation T Prepares to Launch its 2018 List of Young Game Changers in Hong Kong

[HONG KONG – 24 May 2018] – Hong Kong Tatler is launching the third edition of its annual Generation T List, which recognises 50 disruptive young game changers with the potential to become the leaders of tomorrow.

The Generation T List 2018 will be unveiled at an invitation-only party on 8 June 2018 and will go live online that evening. The highly anticipated event is supported by H. Moser & Cie., The Murray and Theory.

Introduced in 2016, Generation T is Asia Tatler’s platform for extraordinary young individuals. Its mission is to inspire, connect and recognise the entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives who are shaping Asia’s future. The 12 categories represented in the Generation T List include The Arts, Architecture and Design; Entertainment and Sport; Fashion; Finance; Food and Drink; Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy; and Technology.

Otto Ng, Elaine Yan Ling Ng, Cristina Ventura, Dr Albert Yu-min Lin, and Arthur Lam

Generation T consults a panel of industry experts, a group called the Tatler Tribe, to help identify those with the potential to be the leaders of tomorrow. This year, Hong Kong Tatler editors and the Tribe narrowed down a longlist of over 250 names to reach the final 50. A nominee needs to have had a significant achievement in the past 18 months to qualify.

Jakki Phillips, editor-in-chief of Hong Kong Tatler, says: “Hong Kong is blessed with a burgeoning community of dynamic young entrepreneurs who are not only disrupting traditional industries with groundbreaking innovations, but also using their talent as a force for good. Generation T is a celebration of these extraordinary individuals and the positive change they bring to our city, and the rest of the world. We’re excited to see how these young game changers will shape the future of Hong Kong and we know our readers will be too.”

Tamara Lamunière, head of Generation T Asia, adds: “Each year, across the Asian region, we recognise and enable 450 promising young talents, making our platform the ultimate reference for the young leaders you need to know. Generation T is proud to play a role in shaping Asia’s future by empowering this community to connect, collaborate and change themselves, their businesses, their societies and the world.”
