Social Impact Editor (Hong Kong)

The Social Impact Editor of Tatler Hong Kong is responsible for content production on social impact topics in Hong Kong, Asia and beyond, including sustainability, climate change, philanthropy, human rights and diversity, as well as subject matters of interest to the local community, for both Tatler Hong Kong’s print magazine and The candidate in this role will work closely with the Editor-In-Chief and Staff Editor of Tatler Hong Kong, as well as other editors on the Tatler Hong Kong print and digital teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify trends in social impact topics
  • Produce timely social impact stories for Tatler Hong Kong’s print magazine and for
  • Work closely with the local digital team and social media editor to maximise audience engagement
  • Write stories to the highest standards of quality, meeting output targets and adhering to deadlines
  • Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders and influential individuals within the social impact space
  • Work with the creative team on content, images and production

Key Objectives

  • Report on the most significant issues in the social impact sphere today while adhering to Tatler’s brand values
  • Grow size and engagement of the online audience

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has at least 5 years of experience with editorial operations and daily workflow
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
  • Has a strong sense of the topics that matter to communities in Hong Kong
  • Must be organised and work well with deadlines
